Home Business Reality Is A Hard Pill To Swallow

      Copyright 2005 Mal Keenan

Over the years I have been online one of the most common
emails I get from downline members and prospects in general
goes something like this:

"Hi Mal
What's happening? I have been working my ass off this past
week and a half and things just aint happening. I've bought
some leads and sent out two articles but not one sale. I'll
give this a go for another week or two and if I don't see
results I'll have to move on."

Have you received any like this? Maybe you've written one
similar in your early days;-)?

It saddens me that people come into a business opportunity
with the idea that they are going to attain instant
profits....not only because of the explaining I have to do
to prospects, but because I know the frustration they are
going to inflict upon themselves unless they change the
mindset with which they have entered this business.

The most I, or anyone like me can do for those of you who
ARE finding it difficult to find success is show you a bit
of direction and share our own experiences.

THERE ARE NO QUICK FIXES....and in my experience NO SECRETS.

This may be a hard pill to swallow but it is the truth.

My expereince of running an online business from home is
that it takes time and hard work and YES a lot of
frustration, upsets and setbacks along the way. If you
surmount the obstcales along the way you will have proven
yourself ready to attain success and you WILL get a
breakthrough.

It is vitally important that you formulate a plan and
budget your money accordingly. You must be prepared to go
for at least a few months without making a profit. If you
do get into profit with a month or two then this will be a
bonus, but be prepared for the long haul.

Another big gripe I hear is that people are spending a
fortune on product after product and leaving themselves
penniless. This is another main reason for their ultimate
failure. Why would you do this to yourself? You MUST
discipline yourself, set a monthly or weekly budget and DO
NOT go over it.

If you enter the online business arena keeping in mind the
points outlined above, I promise that you will have a
realistic chance of succeeding. I and others are certainly
on hand to answer your questions and affording you the
support to facilitate YOUR success.

----------------------------------------------------
For more help and support from Mal Keenan visit his online
training site:
http://www.pluginprofitstraining.com

Today I would like to talk about some of the tools of the trade that you need as a website owner/manager. One of the things that intimidates most people is trying to learn html, the language that most webpages today are written in.

There is no reason for despair though, there are tons of both free and paid resources all over the internet to help you with your studies. One of the best training sites on the net is Empowerism. This is an invaluable training resource, advertising resource, networking resource AND income opportunity that is unsurpassed anywhere on the internet. It is well worth the $19.95 per month membership investment.

One free resource I have found that I really like is:

Webdesigner Helper UK

This site has a wealth of free tutorials, templates and tools.

Instead of spending the big bucks on Microsoft Frontpage for HTML editing try:

1st Page 2000

This software is free to download and there is a support forum as well. You can start with Easy Mode and work your way up to Expert Mode in no time!

I hope that these suggestions and tools will be useful to you in building your website and your business.

Peace out.

Rita
************************************************************************************
Mary Rita Earle is the owner of Duchess Marketing A complete suite of the hottest work at home ideas, opportunities, tips and tools for the home business entrepreneur. Email Follow Up Tips, 8 Of Them...

      Copyright 2005 Daniel Levis

The first thing you need to do is get your e-mails opened &
read. Spend at least as much time worrying about the
subject line of each e mail in your sequence as you do
worrying about the body.

Brainstorm at least five subject lines, pick the one most
likely to stop your prospects dead in their tracks (tip,
the only way to know for sure is to test), and use the rest
of them in the body of the message. And ALWAYS begin your
title with the person’s first name.

Curiosity Killed The Cat - It's human nature to be curious.
One of the most effective ways to get your message opened
is to throw a little mystery into the heading. Mystery,
mixed with relevant benefit, will get your message opened.
But that's not all.

It's still easy to bail after the first paragraph, so
curiosity can also help to drive your prospect deeper into
the body of the message. Remember, the deeper your readers
go into your copy, the more difficult it will be for them
to STOP reading it.

It doesn’t hurt to tell a little bit about what your offer
isn't, to build up the suspense, and help drive your reader
further down the page.

Tell A Story - In 1919, a Russian immigrant named Max
Sackheim, stumbled upon a fascinating discovery. He had
been hired by the Sherwin Cody School of English to come up
with a mail order advertisement, and his original headline
read, "Do You Make Mistakes In English"?

The ad didn't pull.

By adding one magic little word to the headline, Max was
able to make the very same ad produce amazing results. The
ad became so profitable that it ran for over 40 years
straight, when Max changed the headline to, "Do You Make
These Mistakes In English"?

People’s curiosity got the better of them. They just
couldn’t resist reading Max's advertisement. They were all
wondering if they might be making "these" mistakes in
English. Max was able to slip right under the buyer’s
natural resistance to being sold, and suck them right into
the advertisement.

Story telling has the same effect.

You Can Never Over Educate - Nobody ever bought a hammer,
because they wanted a hammer. What they wanted was a bunch
of nails tapped home just right. Sequential e-mail follow
up is ideal for showing your prospects how to achieve their
goals with your product.

Remember, the more comfortable your prospects are about the
"How To" of using your product or service to solve their
problem, the more confidence they'll have in your ability &
willingness to really help them. One of the most effective
things you can do with your autoresponder, is to offer free
courses & tutorials that show your prospects how to use
your products to get the results they’re looking for.

It’s the ultimate soft sell, and it’s very effective!

Warts & All - It's all about trust. That's why you’re
following up on your prospects in the first place, right?
Your prospects need to be exposed an average of 7 to 9
times before succumbing to your seduction.

Pointing out the imperfections of your product can go a
long way toward building that trust. You don't necessarily
have to slam your product, but giving the straight goods on
the pitfalls that the buyer might encounter when using it,
and helping them to avoid them, demonstrates your honesty,
and openness.

It's like showing the front of your hands, in a
face-to-face encounter.

Be Specific - Details, exact numbers, & vivid descriptions
worked into your copy are worth their weight in gold,
because they're far more believable than generalities. When
you make a claim, back it up with facts & figures.

Your prospects are both naturally skeptical, and hungry for
truth.

Don't Be Shy About Objections - Every product has natural
objections. Don't be afraid to bring them up.

Read your copy after being away from it for a while, and at
some point in the message you'll feel them creeping in.
That's the point when you add something like, "OK, you're
probably thinking <objection>. I can understand why you
might feel that way, many others who looked at this product
felt just the same way, until they found out about
<rebuttal>."

You need to come up with a list of reasons why your
prospect would want to buy your product or service, and
also the reasons why not.

The Fear of Loss Is Greater Than The Desire For Gain -
Often the fear of losing something, sometimes even
something that we do not yet have, is a stronger motivator
than our desire for gain.

The fear of missing out on a special price or promotion is
a good example of this.

Don't we all want what we can't have? Work hard to find
ways to make your product scarce, or at least make your
offer scarce, by offering it for a limited time.

Justify Your Offer - People know that you’re in business to
make a profit, and that you don't give things away out of
the goodness of your heart.

When they see a sale, or a special price, or a bonus offer,
the wheels naturally start turning in the back of their
heads. What's the catch? While it's our emotions that truly
motivate us, logic does have a nasty habit of getting in
the way.

When you are open with your prospects about the reason why
you're offering them a special deal, it's amazing how
easily they'll accept your reasoning, and abandon their
resistance. The same applies to giving a legitimate reason
why your special offer absolutely expires on a specific
date.

So there you have it. The Worst Internet Marketing Strategy Ever?

      Many people are downright frustrated.

And when you look at their internet marketing strategy,
it's no surprise.

Yet, they all fall into a classic trap that can ruin your
chances of online success before you even get off the
ground.

Have you heard about the ultimate short-cut to success?

Ultimate short-cut? That's right.

Many are led to believe that this is the holy grail of
marketing online.

But, if this is your idea of a perfect internet marketing
strategy, think again.

Here's how it works...

It's easy. Create a crappy product and contact every 'sap'
who has an opt-in list of 40,000 subscribers or a website
that gets a few hundred hits a day. Then ask them all to
promote your stuff.

Works like a charm, doesn't it?

If you've ever been on the other end of the inbox, you
know how annoying this can be.

Some person who sends you 12 emails out of the blue,
asking (begging) you to endorse his/her product.

For example, I recently received a similar email from
someone asking me to promote an MLM product to my
subscribers and customers.

First off, the email was clearly a cut-and-paste job. It
might have started with "Dear Jason", but the rest was a
boiler plate email.

A big no-no when trying to get someone's attention and win
them over.

And what about the product?

For all I know, the product might have been white hot.
But, MLM is the furthest thing from my subscribers minds.
Not all of them, but I'll bet at least 90% of them.

The problem here?

One word: targeting

My subscribers and customers are not the ideal target
market for this particular product. If I start promoting
MLM, I might as well squeeze in a "how to pick a winning
stock" mailing as well.

Unfortunately, you will also see this "spray-and-pray"
internet marketing strategy in other areas.

Let me give you an example.

Have you ever received an article on a topic that was no
where near what you (or your subscribers/customers) are
interested in?

Or, have you ever been asked to review a product that was
about "snake breeding" or something way off in left field?

Have you ever received an email asking you to buy a drug
that you have absolutely no use for?

The same rule applies: targeting

My advice? To really nail down your internet marketing
strategy and hit the pavement running, here's a shortlist
of things to consider.

>>> Hand Pick Your Partners Wisely

Notice I said "hand pick". Choose a few partners that you
feel would be ideal candidates. Learn a bit about them and
their business BEFORE you contact them.

>>> Get Personal

When you finally decide to contact a potential partner,
personalize your contact with them. Add a comment about
how you like their website or ezine. Maybe you are a
customer who enjoyed their product.

Be sincere and it will shine through.

>>> Think W.T.G.T.D.W.M.?

People are busy, overloaded, overworked. When you send out
an email looking for people to publish your article,
review your new ebook, or promote your product, you need
to think W.T.G.T.D.W.M.?

W.T.G.T.D.W.M. = What's This Got To Do With Me?

Once again, if you are targeting the right partners and
choosing them wisely, this question should be self-
answered by the person who are contacting.

For example,

"Hi Andy. I am contacting you today because you are among
the top snake breeders in America."

If your article, product, joint venture is related to
snake breeding, you are half way to the finish line
already.

>>> The 80/20 Rule Is A Lie

Ever heard of this rule? 20% of people produce 80% of the
results? Online, this is more like the 97/3 rule. If you
are looking for joint venture partners online, 97% of
people will do nothing to help you. Sure, they might seem
interested at first. But, when it comes time to "play
ball", they will suddenly drop off the earth.

Your goal? Stop wasting time marketing to "everyone". Find
the 3% who will work with you to accomplish your goals and
make things happen.

Tip: If you are focusing on a highly targeted market,
this will happen much easier.

>>> Know When To Back Off

So, you've sent two emails with no reply. Is it time to
call it quits? Not always. Some people are genuinely on
information overload and won't get back to you for several
days (if not a week). Why not pick up the phone, make one
last attempt and contact them by phone? If they fail to
return your email or voicemail, perhaps it's time to move
on (see 97/3 rule above).

Remember, the name of the game is targeting. When putting
together your internet marketing strategy, pick your
partners wisely -- aim to find that golden 3% as quickly
as possible.

Take your time and get this part right from day one. It
makes all the difference in the world when you are sending
people something that is of real interest to them.

If it appeals to them, they will pay attention, and the
boost in response you receive will speak for itself.

_________________________________________________________
Jason Potash makes it easy to launch a successful ezine
and rapidly build your list. Manifesting Wealth

      Leslie Fieger

Many people talk or write about the science
of success or the art of creating wealth. You
don't want just the science. You don't want
just the art. What you want is the technology.
The how to.

Manifestation is not a mystery. It is a process.
All processes can be analyzed, taken apart,
step-by-step, and then, once understood, can
be applied scientifically to produce the desired
results. There is a technique for manifesting
anything, including wealth.

Scientists study the physical world in order to
ascertain the metaphysical principles that apply
to how things unfold in our universe. They theorize
about how things that have happened did happen.
A theory becomes accepted only when direct
experiment proves that application produces a
manifest reality. Once the process (the unfolding)
is understood and proven through application,
science becomes technology. Technology is applied
science. Power is applied knowledge. Knowledge,
by itself, produces nothing, not even wisdom, let
alone practical results. It is all in the application.

Where can you learn the right application? You can
experiment to see if your personal theory will work
or you can observe those whose experiments have
produced the desired results and then utilize
the same techniques, the same process.

The power to create or manifest wealth comes from
applying the knowledge of the process of creation.
The knowledge of the critical elements in a process
do not create the process. It is the proper and
purposeful use or application of the elements that
produce the results.

I can tell you again that thought plus desire combined
with belief plus intent create your results. You might
completely understand and agree with that; but if you
do not apply it, then it is useless knowledge, like books
gathering dust on a library shelf.

The process of manifestation is:

it begins in the ideal (causal);

it moves into the virtual;

it becomes real;

it becomes manifest (effectual).

The elements of the idealization are: Thought, desire,
belief, intent, commitment, insight.

The elements of the virtualization are: Visualization,
affirmation, gratitude, congruity, planning.

The elements of the realization are:
Your words and your deeds.

So now you know. Now you must apply your knowledge.

Idealize it: Think the right thoughts. Desire the result.
Believe in the actuality. Intend for it to be. Commit
to making it so. Understand what it will mean.

Virtualize it: See it as real. Affirm it to be. Be
thankful for its existence. Harmonize yourself with it.
Attract it. Plan for it to be.

Realize it: Speak the truth of it. Act to enact it.

Enjoy having it.

Want to be wealthy?

Think about wealth and abundance, NOT about lack and
limitation.

Desire wealth; lust after it; don't just wish for it.

Believe in it and your right to it. Stop believing
in scarcity. There is none. (When you have nothing,
you have an abundance of nothing. When you have mediocrity,
you have an abundance of mediocrity)

Clarify your intentions. What is your intent in thinking
that thought, in doing that deed? Commit 100% to becoming
wealthy.

Understand (gain insight into) what wealth is and what
it means to you.

Visualize your wealth. See yourself as wealthy.

Be rich. Affirm to yourself and others that you are wealthy
and that you deserve to be.

Be grateful for your abundance. Show your appreciation.
Attract wealth by being worthy of it.

Plan. Set specific goals and follow your game plan.

Stay true to your ideals. Talk your truth and then
walk the talk.

Take some hints from the universe: It is constantly
creating new space.

Why? To make room for more.

Make some space in your life for more to show up.
Get rid of what you don't need. If those thoughts
don't serve you—dump them. If those beliefs serve
no useful purpose—junk them. If that activity is
not producing wealth—stop it. Why exactly do you
watch TV? Are you going to get wealthy watching
who wants to be a millionaire? No.

You will get wealthy by applying the proven technology
of wealth creation. Of course, only if you think so
and only if you believe it.

Leslie

© Leslie Fieger. 3 Critical Questions To Answer If You Want To Make A Full Time Income Online

      Copyright 2005 Ewen Chia

If you came online looking to establish a real business,
then it's possible you got sidetracked and confused along
the way to success.

This is because there are just too much hype and false
information being preached about making money on the
internet these days.

Fact is it'll be highly unlikely you can make thousands in
your first month online from base zero. It took me 3 years
of hard work and 'merry-go-round' rides before I finally
'cracked the code'.

Overnight riches will not happen, period.

What you can do though to effectively 'short-cut' and
accelerate the process is to follow a tried and tested
plan...and working on that plan until you get results.

This will focus your efforts in the right direction from
the start, without waste of unneccesary time and resources.

Now, most profitable businesses become p'rofitable because
they have their foundations built firmly upon sound
marketing principles that work.

You can tap on these proven principles today - no matter
where you are in your business.

Through the years and thousands of pages of information,
what I discovered was this...

Success in any business can be heightened dramatically when
you create that business upon the needs of the market it
serves.

Here are 3 critical marketing questions to ponder upon if
you're looking to make a full time income online:

Question #1: Are You Targeting HUNGRY Markets With The
Money To Spend?

It's NOT enough to blindly pick a market and bank on it. If
you want to make any money at all, you need to go WHERE the
money is.

The niche market you choose should consist of people who
already want what you can offer. More importantly, they
should have the necessary disposable income.

Here's an example: while the employment niche is huge, it's
mainly made up of employment seekers with little ready
funds to spend on 'unnecessary' purchases.

You'll do much better by targeting a 'lifestyle' niche like
sports, hobbies, entertainment or health.

When you search for keywords using a tool like the Keyword
Selector Tool from Overture, qualify your markets by using
trigger words like 'find', 'buy', 'learn' etc. This will
give you a good indication of their demands and spending
powers.

Question #2: Are You Selling What The Market Wants To Buy?

Look, it doesn't mean hoots if you have the BEST products
in the world when no body is interested in them.

A crazy example: you can create a one-of-a-kind 'pet
camera' reserved only for taking pictures of your
pets...but will this sell well when you can just use a
normal camera? Guess not.

Once you've identified certain profitable niche markets,
start surveying and researching the types of products that
sell like hotcakes in these markets.

An easy way to do this is to identify and study EXISTING
hot sellers. For instance, look at the ClickBank market
place if you're selling digital products. Or look at the
Yahoo shopping network and eBay for tangible goods.

You can then create your own products to tap into these
existing pools of red hot customers. Creating them is a
simple matter in itself once you get the hang of it.

A few ways to do so include hiring ghostwriters;
repackaging resale rights; conducting interviews or using
Camtasia to create quick multi-media tutorials. Or you can
use 'ready content' in the form of private labeled
products. Just edit where needed, put your name on it and
bang - your own instant product.

Remember, find out what people want to b'uy *first* before
attempting to sell anything to them.

Question #3: Are You Building Your Databases?

The real money is in the list and this holds true for any
business whether online or offline.

Capture, follow up with and backend your visitors for
perpetual profits. Create quality content and develop
win-win relationships.

Attach lifetime values to your visitors and nuture them
into future customers even if they leave your site without
purchasing the first time. This is because you'll lose them
forever if you do not do so.

Apply these critical questions to your businesses and
you'll acquire the midas touch to turn every venture into
gold.

Once you've mastered the process, duplicate the system
across different niches and sub-niches. In this way, you
will be able to create many different automated cash
streams and generate yourself the income and lifestyle you
desire.

Here's a powerful resource by the way. You can potentially
build an empire in this hot niche with the 3-question
system revealed here.

And with almost all the work done for you, it's possible to
kick start your business with it in the next 24 hours:
http://myuam.com/x.cgi?id=6&a=t&tid=50

----------------------------------------------------
Master The Art And Science Of Making
Money Online With Ewen Chia here:
http://www.InstantMarketingSecrets.com
The Power Affiliate Diaries Blog:
http://www.EwenChia.com
